Road Department Completes Re-paving of High Point Road

and Fifth Street

 

SHELBYVILLE, KY.  Shelby County Judge-Executive Rob Rothenburger and Shelby County Road Department Supervisor Carl Henry announce that High Point Road and Fifth Street, both in Shelbyville, have been recently repaved.  The repaving was part of the roadway rehabilitation projects that included replacement and/or the addition of new sidewalks added to both roadways.

 

Rothenburger states, “Since the existence of new sidewalks on High Point Road, scores of individuals have utilized the walkways, thus increasing public safety along the roadways.”

 

The newly added sidewalks on High Point Road and Fifth Street meet ADA handicap accessible guidelines and safety regulations.
