Emergency Management Director Designated as Authorized Agent
for
Shelby County
The Shelby County Fiscal
Court authorized, through resolution, Emergency Management
Director (EMA) Charlie Frazee as the incumbent to execute on
behalf of the Shelby County Fiscal Court to file in the
appropriate state offices for the purpose of obtaining
Federal Financial Assistance under the Disaster Relief Act
(Public Law 288, 93rd Congress) or otherwise
available from the President’s Disaster Relief Fund.
Each county throughout the
country is mandated through federal law to designate an
individual that is responsible for the collection,
dissemination, and filing of appropriate paperwork and/or
forms required during a federally declared disaster
occurrence or incident.
Shelby County
Judge/Executive Rob Rothenburger states, “In time of
disaster, timeliness is essential in the recovery efforts of
any community. Charlie Frazee has proven time and time
again to have the experience and knowledge to facilitate the
process of obtaining funding, should it become available
through the federal government to assist in this effort.”
Frazee has been the Shelby
County Emergency Management Director for 5 years and
currently serves as the President of the Kentucky Emergency
Management Association.
