Winter Weather Advisory in Effect for Shelby County
SHELBYVILLE, KY. The
National Weather Service has issued a winter weather
advisory for Shelby County and surrounding areas
beginning around 7:00 p.m. this evening and continuing
through Saturday afternoon at 1:00 p.m.
A snow accumulation of
2-4 inches is expected. After the majority of the
precipitation has ceased, temperature will proceed to
drop and are predicted to remain below freezing all
weekend. Motorists can expect hazardous travel for the
above period. Driving with caution is advised.

Rothenburger states, “Emergency personnel and road crews
have been taking the necessary measures that will enable
them to respond in a timely and effective manner to the
forecasted weather challenges.”
