Fiscal Court Votes Unanimously to Keep Tax Rates the Same

 

SHELBYVILLE, KY.  The Shelby County Fiscal Court voted unanimously at the September 3^rd, 2010 special fiscal court meeting, to keep the real and personal property tax rate the same for the 2010-2011 fiscal year.

 

Shelby County Judge-Executive Rob Rothenburger stated, “I am thrilled that the Fiscal Court has once again voted to keep the tax rate the same for the citizens of Shelby County.  This decision can be contributed to the outstanding services, quality of life, and fiscal responsibility that Shelby County residents have come to enjoy, thus maintaining and stabilizing property valuations.”

 

The approved rates are as follows:  The real property tax rate is 11 cents per hundred.  The personal property tax rate is 10.5 cents per hundred.  The motor vehicle tax rate and the watercraft tax rate are 14.6 cents per hundred.
