NEWS RELEASE
September 13, 2010
Multiple Projects Completed by Shelby County Road
Department
SHELBYVILLE, KY.
Shelby County Road Supervisor Carl Henry informed the
members of the fiscal court at the last fiscal court
meeting that several road projects had been completed
and came in on time, under budget, and without issues or
complications.
Henry recounted that
the box culvert on Scott Pike had been constructed and
the roadway was now open for through traffic. Also,
Henry informed the magistrates that South Lawn, Hazel
Lawn, and Mulberry Roads had been resurfaced.
The Shelby County Road
Department will continue to address tree limb
impingement on the roadway, correct drainage problems,
and make necessary preparations for the winter season on
rural roadways.
Shelby County
Judge-Executive Rob Rothenburger stated, “The Scott Pike
box culvert replacement project was made possible by a
$70,000 grant received through the KY Transportation
Cabinet’s Rural and Secondary Road Program.”
