Finchville Sidewalks to Get New Look

 

SHELBYVILLE, KY. Years ago, the Finchville Ruritan with the help of the Shelby County Road Department and the State Transportation Cabinet, placed sidewalks along the edge of Taylorsville Road; soon they will have a fresh look.

 

The Shelby County Fiscal Court accepted a bid from Buzzard Roost Paving of Shelbyville in the amount of $9,675.00 to overlay approximately 2600 feet of sidewalks with an additional layer of surface.

 

County Road Supervisor Carl Henry informed the Magistrates that he was hopeful that the work could began and end before fall of this year. Henry further stated that walkers and pedestrians will be pleased with the smoother surface that had deteriorated over the years.
