Fiscal Court Approves Bid for Storm Debris Grinding
SHELBYVILLE, KY. The Shelby County
Fiscal Court has approved and accepted a bid from
Shelbyville based Horizon Opportunities, LLC, for storm
debris grinding.
Shelby County
Judge-Executive Rob Rothenburger announced that the
Fiscal Court reviewed and approved the recommendation
from County Road Supervisor Carl Henry to execute an
agreement with Horizon Opportunities to grind trees and
branches that were previously dropped off at the road
department facility as a result of the January Ice
storm.
More than 10,000 cubic
yards of debris received at the Road department will be
ground down to 1-2 diameter chips before the process is
complete. The cost for the operation and winning bid was
$22,100.00.
