Edwards Moving and Rigging Receives Zoning Approval for
Re-location and Expansion
SHELBYVILLE, KY.
Shelby County Judge-Executive Rob Rothenburger announced
that Shelby County based company Edwards Moving and
Rigging Incorporated has received zoning approval on
68.6 ± acres located on Zaring Mill Road in Shelby County.
According to zone
change request documents, Edwards Moving and Rigging was
looking for a site to meet its current needs and future
growth demands. Rail access and close proximity to the
interstate were top priorities for site selection for
the company. Edwards’s plans also call for the
construction of storage and assembly areas for their
equipment.
Rothenburger stated, “I
am very pleased that the Shelby County Fiscal Court
recognized the importance and strong attributes that the
Edwards Moving and Rigging Company have displayed for
over four decades. I am over overjoyed that we were
able to accommodate the specific needs of the Edwards
Company, enabling their business to thrive while
remaining located in Shelby County.”
Edwards Moving and
Rigging, a nationally recognized company, was
established in 1961 and has presence in 35 states.
Edwards currently employs 35-40 employees with an
average salary of $20.31 per hour.
