Newton Re-appointed to the Bagdad Fire Protection District Board

 

SHELBYVILLE, KY.  Shelby County Judge-Executive Rob Rothenburger announces the re-appointed of Garnett Newton to the Bagdad Fire Protection District Board following approval from the fiscal court at Tuesday night’s meeting, January 6, 2009.

 

Newton has served numerous consecutive terms for the Bagdad Fire District, seeing the progression of the board firsthand.  This re-appointment marks his fourth full term on the board.

 

“Garnett [Newton] has been an outstanding asset to the fire service community by serving as former chief for over three decades and continuing his public service to the Bagdad community as a trustee with the Bagdad Fire Protection District.  We are very fortunate and honored to have Garnett [Newton] willing to continue in this capacity. 

 

Newton’s upcoming term will commence through 12/31/11.
