SHELBY COUNTY FISCAL COURT REDUCES PROPERTY TAXES AGAIN!

 September 17, 2007 

For the second year in a row, the Shelby County Fiscal Court has reduced the property tax rates for the county!!  The court unanimously passed County Judge-Executive Rob Rothenburger’s and the finance committee’s recommendation of a Property Tax Rate of 11 cents per hundred assessed property value, down from last year’s rate of 11.1 cents per hundred assessed property value. 

 

This year’s tax rate will produce a total of $2,740,286.00 in revenues, compared to $2,570,655.00 total estimated revenues in 2006.

 

All personal property tax rates remain the same as the previous year at 11.6 cents per hundred assessed personal property value.
